This is yet another artist that has been recommended to me by many people over the years that I just never really got around to listening to until pretty recently. Since every band now has its own genre, I always enjoy it when one preemptively names their own genre. This group describes themselves as a “black metal sparkle folk” band, and I must say it’s worth a listen to find out what that means.

Here’s another one whose album art, name and album title really threw me off the scent. So much more eclectic and interesting than expected.

I don’t know what I was expecting from these guys, but I guess with their name I thought it would be a lot heavier and angrier than it is. I never tire of being proven wrong, especially when it comes to music.
