#1033 – The Madcap Laughs by Syd Barrett

Despite the fact that he was gone from Pink Floyd by the time they achieved their most prolific accomplishments, there is no denying that Syd was the founder of the feast, who brought together the elements that we all grew up listening to and loving. Just listening to some of his solo work really highlights how sad it is that he was unable to reap the rewards of his creation, though who knows what they would have become had he remained the leader of the band. At the very least, we wouldn’t have the Wish You Were Here album, which is pretty much all about him and his story.
