I found out about this band while learning about the band How to Destroy Angels, which is a side project of Trent Reznor’s, featuring his wife Mariqueen Maandig – one of the singers from West Indian Girl – and his frequent collaborator Atticus Ross. Of course, anything Trent is involved in will immediately draw my attention, so I was extremely curious to know who his wife is and hear some of her music. It definitely has more of an indie rock feel to it than I was expecting, but it’s a really cool album.
