I’ve always been steadfast in my belief that the Red Hot Chili Peppers would not have achieved the level of success that they have had it not been for the brilliant guitar work of this man. Not to say that their albums without him are bad, by any means, but the chart-topping, genre-blending hits that have defined their best years are all the ones that he wrote and played on.
