I discovered these guys on the tail end of a long day of travel. They’re a very entertaining blend of many different sounds and genres and are now high on my list of bands to see live as soon as possible.

Happened upon this album the other night and was pleasantly surprised by both how much I enjoyed it and how great the guitar work is. I’ll be taking a deeper dive into the Cory Wong catalog in the coming weeks.

I haven’t listened to a new reggae artist in quite a while, so it was nice to discover these guys. They are about halfway between reggae and rock, so the seem like they’d be a bit more approachable to those who are not traditionally reggae fans.

I picked this album for today because I found a CD copy of it in my Mom’s car, which I was borrowing for a little day trip. One of my go-to Spotify playlists right now is called Instrumental Funk. I discover a great many of my daily selections through Spotify, either through playlists or suggested artists. I hope my musician friends can forgive my appreciation for the streaming music conglomerate.
