Up next in my perusal of supporting acts from classic Grateful Dead concert posters, the country-rock stylings of New Riders of the Purple Sage. I had heard the title track from this album over the years, but never bothered to explore their catalog in any serious way. This is the kind of country music that makes that genre seem tolerable to me.
