I was looking at this website that sells vintage concert posters, specifically Grateful Dead ones, when I started to notice all of the acts that they shared the stage with who I was not familiar with at all. Upon some minor examination, it really dawned on me how eclectic some of these classic shows were. Case in point, today’s selection, Brazilian jazz guitar legend Bola Sete. Such an interesting – and kinda perfect, if you think about it – supporting act for the Dead. It really highlights how many different styles they drew on and what a cool time in history that was, for concert-goers, at least. In most other ways, it was a turbulent, fucked up time.
