It seems fitting to pick something from the latest flashpoint in the fight against police brutality and systemic racism, Atlanta. Between the Rayshard Brooks case and the issues with the recent primary vote, Georgia has a lot of issues to work out. Of course, neither of these are isolated incidents. The shadiness surrounding their elections is pretty egregious, with issues as obvious as Brian Kemp, a candidate for governor who was serving as secretary of state at the time and is responsible for the oversight of the election. If people don’t see this obvious conflict as an issue then we have a lot of different issues to tackle to get ourselves to the true democracy that America represents, even if it never really was that. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you who became the next governor of Georgia.
