Someone sent me a video of these guys’ set from the Peach Festival and I had to check out an album. Another entry for my live music to-do list.

It’s so great to get an album recommendation first thing in the morning. That’s probably been the best side effect of this project. I now have a collection of people with widely varied musics tastes sending me albums on a regular basis. I was looking for a nice, chill album to listen to in the pool and one of my go-to Spotify playlists came through with this gem. I’m always awed by an artist whose songwriting and composition are so minimalist, but are extremely powerful nonetheless.

This is a great metal album with a fun theme. They kind of remind me of Gwar. I was alerted to their existence when someone forwarded they video for the song “Rise and Slime.”
