#765 – Kumoyo Island by Kikagaku Moyo
I’ve often wondered what the hippie/jam scene is like in other parts of the world, and learning about artists like this show that the influence of that era has made it pretty much everywhere. I hope these guys come to the US soon.
#764 – Cosmic Country & Western Songs by Daniel Donato
I’m always trying to work more country into my repertoire, so the title and cover art for this album were very intriguing. It’s not quite what I was expecting from the imagery involved, but still a good album.
#763 – self-titled by Circles Around the Sun
I first heard these guys when they were the intermission music for the Fare Thee Well concerts back in 2015, so it’s only fitting that they be the selection on the day that I’m going to see Dead & Company.
#762 – What’s It Like? by Sure Sure
#761 – Odin’s Raven Magic by Sigur Ros
My obsession with Sigur Ros has been in full swing since a buddy of mine took me to see them for my birthday last month. If you ever get the chance to see them, you must.
#760 – Big Time by Angel Olsen
This artist has an amazing version of one of my favorite Grateful Dead songs, Attics of My Life. Check out the Day of the Dead album, if you like the Dead at all. Some great versions by an impressive collection of indie artists.
#759 – On The Widow’s Walk by The White Buffalo
#758 – In a Safe Place by The Album Leaf
#757 – Erie by Frank Zappa
For obvious reasons, I never thought I’d get the chance to choose a Zappa album, so I was delighted when this came out.
