Yesterday we went to a Holi party at some friends’ home. For the uninitiated, which I was until I got to the party, Holi is an Indian festival which celebrates the coming of spring by throwing handfuls of colorful powder at each other. I’m sure this is an offensive oversimplification of the event, but it was a really fun time and a great way to finish off some ratty, old clothes. As a delightful side effect, I learned of some great Indian music and some restaurants in my area. Wins all around!
