I thought I was somewhat well-versed in the music of the 90s, but time and again I have artists brought to my attention that further highlight just how narrow my frame of reference was at that time. Who knows how differently my musical experience could have been if I had delved into the indie scene at that time, which was brimming with awesome bands with less than ideal appeal?
