#883 – Philadelphia 1980 by Frank Zappa

One of my frequent sorrows as a music fan is my love of artists that have passed away or are no longer creating new music for whatever reason. I will ravenously devour any of their work that I have never experienced and seek out anything similar, or featuring their past collaborators. Frank died before I was aware of him, so I always seize the opportunity to see his former band mates live. Luckily for me, his estate has just released several amazing live recordings that span some of his most active periods. I try not to use the word amazing too much because people often throw it around too much, but that’s exactly what it is: amazing.
