I was definitely pretty late to the Flaming Lips party. I knew a smattering of their songs, but just from a few of their earlier albums. I started getting deeper into their catalog after reading about a concert that they did mid-Covid where everybody there was in their own literal bubble, a roomful of giant hamster balls. Surely an artist that does something like that is worth exploring further.
