I’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of a new album from Lizzo. Her previous offering, Cuz I Love You, is one of my most frequently played go-to albums and has been a constant part of all of my playlists of the past couple of years. And so, it is only fitting that she be the artist to provide an album for this milestone, despite its somewhat arbitrary numerical significance. Every time I hit a big, round number like this it hits me how much time has passed and how much has changed since I began this project. I also realized that, in the coming months, I will have been doing this blog longer than I have ever worked at the same place. It will become the longest “job” I’ve ever had (job being in quotes as it’s a volunteer position). I’ll have to do some math when I get a chance to find out the exact day that I cross that threshold.
