Does anybody remember the old iPod commercial with the Feist song? That song was everywhere for a while.

#661 – TNT by Tortoise
Here we have another great ‘90s band who has escaped my awareness for almost thirty years. Better late than never.
#660 – The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table by Rick Wakeman
I grew up listening to a lot of Yes’ music. Most of the members of that band have a bunch of side projects, but none are as prolific as the body of work of Rick Wakeman. This is one of his amazing concept albums, which often feature historical themes:
#659 – Get Back by Pink Mountaintops
This album has a great classic punk sound, reminiscent of one of the classic offerings by The Clash.
#658 – Empire by Queensryche
This I another band who I’ve always heard over the years, and even know some of their hits, but never took the time to listen to an album until now.
#657 – Believer by Smerz
Smerz is a Norwegian duo who blends many musical elements to create a sort of deconstructed pop sound.
#656 – Presto by Rush
One of my biggest concert-going regrets is that I never saw these guys. And now it’s too late.
#655 – Lungs by Florence & The Machine
Several years ago, there were several injured performers at Coachella, starting with Axl Rose in a guitar-throne loaned to him by Dave Grohl. Not to be outdone, Florence broke her ankle on weekend one while jumping off a section of stage.
#654 – A Shadow by Pool Shop
I love the super specific genre names that people come up with. This artist is considered a shoe-gazing dream pop project.
#653 – The Benefits of Being Mad by Eerie Glue
There are so many great indie rock bands that I’ve never heard of. This is one of them.
