I read a article the other day about Jason Isbell’s vaccination policy for his shows and the backlash thereof, and knew I had to check his work out. I was not disappointed. His take-it-or-leave-it attitude permeates this collection of songs that are as much roots rock and blues as they are country. I’m gonna have to get out to see him someday, under the right circumstances.
