I was having trouble deciding what would be a fitting album to start the new year – and would also be a big, round number in blog entries – and decided it had to be something big and flashy. There are not too many artists that are even close to as big and flashy as Madame Gaga. I have always been aware of her current work, as she has always been hard to miss if you are even slightly aware of the current state of pop culture, but it wasn’t until her Thanksgiving special with Tony Bennett that I really became a fan. We watched it with my wife’s aunt and uncle in Green Bay, WI who are not in Lady Gaga’s target demographic, to say the least. It was an enlightening experience for all.
