And now it’s the eve of possibly the ugliest, and most important, moment in modern American history. This album offered a temporary escape and an enjoyable one, but there’s no ignoring the knife edge that our democracy is walking. On one side we have the most openly corrupt administration in American history, and on the other is by far the less crappy choice. Our nation will be proclaiming far and wide what trajectory the masses want for themselves. Hopefully we at least get an honest appraisal of what that looks like, whatever the outcome. That way we can each make our own semi-informed position clear, if only to ourselves. Everybody, please be safe tomorrow and don’t harm any strangers.
