I keep meaning to get more heavy music into my posts, but very few suggestions I get are in that vein, so it only happens from time to time when it occurs to me. I can’t remember who turned me on to The Sword, but I have always enjoyed their brand of grungy metal. They also incorporate science fiction elements into some of their albums, which is also right up my alley.
