Having recent been delving into the Flaming Lips’ catalog, I came across an interview with Wayne Coyne in which we’re listed a number of collaboration albums he had done over the past few years. This one jumped out at me because it seemed like a weird mashup, but it really is a cool project. Not every great indie band gets the opportunity to throw a pop star into the mix, although this album makes me wish more would. There are some fun possibilities. Rihanna and Wilco? Adele and Khurangbin? Justin Timberlake with Pixies? And so on…
