#117 – Chasing Yesterday by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds

This band came up in conversation the other night when we were discussing the unfortunate career path of Oasis.  It is extra frustrating as a fan when an artist that you love has such a severe internal rift.  There is an argument to be made that their music would never have had the edge that put them over the top without the brotherly hatred factor.  Another “great” example of this is the Robinson brothers of The Black Crowes.  Once, when The Black Crowes did a week of shows at The Fonda Theater, in Hollywood.  I went to at least two nights and tempers flared between them at least a couple of times.  If I remember correctly, Rich put his guitar down mid-song, flipped Chris off and walked off stage.  I believe he came back out for the encore, though.  As for Oasis, I never saw them in person, but I’ve seen quite a few examples of the Gallagher feud on TV.  I could never understand how they could still be so mad even as they became one of the biggest bands in the world.  I don’t think there’s anybody that I wouldn’t be able to play with, for that kind of money.  It would be fun to make a super group entirely of people who have been involved in famous, public feuds.  Ideally, it would be with their band mates, but we’ll take what we can get.  What can you come up with?
