#109 – Soft Times by Matt Duncan

While having dinner at a friend’s home this evening, he drew my attention to and sang the praises of the album that was playing, by his friend Matt Duncan.  As you may or may not have noticed, when an album is dropped into my lap like that, I take the opportunity to not have to make the decision myself.  The daily choosing ceremony is the most important – and trying – part of this blog.  It surely seems trivial, and often it is, but it really serves as a tent pole for the rest of my day and, to a certain extent, some part of my trajectory for the next day.  If this album is any indication, tomorrow will be mellow, with a classic feel that is not often found in an album that was produced in 2013.
