These guys are a jam band from West Berlin in the 1970s. If you like jammy music at all, or just rock music from that era, this is definitely worth a listen.

#635 – Everything is Wrong by Moby
I’ve never listened to more than one track at a time from the extensive Moby catalog, which is kind of weird considering how into him some college friends were. It also makes me think about the time some idiots jumped Moby outside a Boston venue, recorded the assault and were later prosecuted as a resultContinue reading “#635 – Everything is Wrong by Moby”
#634 – Creature Comforts by Black Dice
Sometimes I happen upon a list of artists in my day-to-day browsing and can just spend the next couple of weeks picking through them. This selection came from a list of trippy music recommendations for psychedelic experiences. While I don’t necessarily agree that they all fit the bill, it just goes to show how differentContinue reading “#634 – Creature Comforts by Black Dice”
#632 – Man It Feels Like Space Again by Pond
I needed a solid album to listen to on the way a Björk show this evening. Not only was this a pretty perfect album for the situation, right down to the perfect play time for the drive, but the show was one of the best concert-going experiences of my life. Quite the prolific evening, allContinue reading “#632 – Man It Feels Like Space Again by Pond”
#633 – In Loving Memory Of by Big Wreck
These guys have a bit of that ‘90s feel that makes me nostalgic for younger, dumber times. Driving around in an old minivan, looking for an opportunity to kill some brain cells, blasting an Alice In Chains cassette. What more could a teenage me want?
#631 – No Other Love by Chuck Prophet
Here’s another in a list of artists recommended to me by someone I just met through work. We certainly had a lot to talk about, music aside, but our tastes are so similar I’ll definitely be going back for more suggestions soon.
#630 – Love Me/Love Me Not by HONNE
If you can’t tell, I love discovering new music. But even more than that, I love finding great artists in genres that I have not historically gravitated towards. Electronic music is a great example. I am certainly quite late to the party, especially considering the burgeoning EDM scene throughout my life. It’s a bit ofContinue reading “#630 – Love Me/Love Me Not by HONNE”
#629 – We Are The 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Love by Foxygen
I guess these guys would be considered indie rock. All I know is that they have a classic rock sound and I will certainly be hearing more from them whenever possible.
#628 – Kirinardi by Gevende
These guys are part of the booming music scene in Turkey. The discovery of Altin Gun a few years ago has led me to explore more from that region and I just keep discovering great artists from all over the world. Everywhere there are these pockets of bustling music scenes.
#627 – self-titled by Blac Rabbit
The more psychedelic bands is listen to the more I discover. I know people aren’t thrilled with Spotify right now, and with good reason, but I’m not sure I would’ve persisted with this blog for so long if it wasn’t for the “people also like…” section. It is a triumph of app design.
