One of my favorite festivals is Desert Daze, which takes place in Joshua Tree national park each fall. Of course, on a year that I can’t attend, they have an amazing lineup. So I’m picking my way through the artists that I don’t know.

#815 – Gasanova by Yung Gravy
A buddy of mine recently produced a pretty successful track with this guy, so I wanted to check out his catalog. He has an unusual combination of catchy beats and humorous but really clever lyrics. He also has a great Comedy Central video about his DMT/earthquake experience.
#814 – WINK by CHAI
Sub Pop soda bottle label, part 4.
#813 – self-titled by Black Heat
Another great 70s soul/funk album. Enjoy!
#812 – GT Ultra by Guerilla Toss
If you write an album that is seemingly inspired by acid, I’m gonna check it out.
#811 – Just Outside of Town by Mandrill
I recently was gifted a nice list of old r&b and soul albums that I have been picking my way through. Really solid stuff.
#810 – Next Thing by Frankie Cosmos
This is another artist that was on one of those Sub Pop/Jones Soda bottles.
#809 – Genetic World by Télépopmusik
#808 – When The Sun and a Blue Star Collide by Wreckless Strangers
#807 – = by Ed Sheeran
This one was recommended by a friend who is an Ed Sheeran super fan. As I listened to it, I felt like I was transported to an arena full of screaming soccer moms. So evocative.
