Anyone who follows me might notice my affinity for post rock artists. Introduced to the genre by Sigur Ros and Explosions in the Sky, it’s an ever-expanding field with some of the most creative and moving compositions to be found in modern music, and one which is not constrained by the commercial appeal of the standard song form. It’s about halfway between classical and rock music, or really, it’s just classical music performed on rock instruments.
