I like to think I’m somewhat up on what’s going on in the music world. Taking into account my specific tastes and perspective, I definitely try to listen to as large and as diverse a selection as I can. But the other day I was sent a reality check by a friend in the form of Rolling Stone’s top 100 albums of the year list. As I dwell in my own hubris, I assumed I would’ve listened to at least 40 of the albums listed. Much to my chagrin, I discovered I had only heard 20. Oh the shame! Anyway, Rolling Stone has this new offering by the legendary Depeche Mode at #99. I’ve got a lot of catching up to do and I hope you’ll enjoy the process along with me!
