Looks like there’s still some more albums out there with “of Love” in the title, so I guess I’ll keep this “theme” going for as long as it lasts, or until I get bored or forget about it. Honestly, I’m kind of shocked that this is the first time Leonard Cohen has appeared in this blog, though it certainly won’t be the last. This album has some really dark moments in it – I guess those are the hate songs – which is not what I generally associate with his work and probably shows how little I know of his catalog. Another great master of songwriting with a prolific catalog for me to explore and, once again, my ignorance pays dividends. At least for the benefit of this project. It might not be that great for my family, though.
