#1144 – Hosianna Mantra by Popol Vuh

This artist came from the Krautrock movement of Germany in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s and were one of the earliest indications of the future of electronic music. They were early adopters of the new-fangled synthesizers that were starting to gain some appeal in the music world. Interestingly, there was also a Norwegian band of the same name that apparently led to some confusion over the years. The name was inspired by the holy book of the Guatemalan Quiche Indians, and loosely translated to mean “meeting place.”
