These guys came up as a “fans also like” from the Sigur Ros profile on Spotify. The ethereal, post-rock mood music genre has been pretty prevalent in my listening habits of late. Maybe because the moodiness of it has suited my mental state pretty often. Whatever it is, I’m always delighted to find more inContinue reading “#910 – Pyramida by Efterklung”

#909 – Voyager by 311
I was very into a couple of 311 albums long ago, but never really followed them after about 2000. Now here I am listening to their 13th studio album, which was released in 2019.
#908 – 199e by Key One
The first app I ever loved was Shazam. It’s a product that I’ve always wanted and to this day is one of my most frequently used apps. It’s also been my gateway to some great discoveries, such as this artist.
#907 – Different Man by Kane Brown
Just found out that today’s artist is performing on a show that I am currently working on, so I had to check his album out. I’m pretty particular about my country music listening and this one is right in my grey area between pop country and rock crossover.
#906 – Culture II by Migos
This morning I heard the news of the tragic murder of Migos member Takeoff. Apparently, he was involved in a dice game at a bowling alley that went pretty aggressively awry. Another senseless loss of life for the hip hop community, a sentence that is applicable far too often.
#905 – Midnights by Taylor Swift
This album just set records by having ALL of the Billboard Top 10 songs for the week. How can I not listen to the album that is breaking the internet?
#904 – Space Force by Todd Rundgren
Todd Rundgren is an artist that has always been around throughout my life, but I never paid much attention to him or his catalog. I came across this little gem and was pleasantly surprised to hear what I’d been missing all these years.
#903 – The Car by Arctic Monkeys
How little imagination would I need to have to not be able to pick an album for the day? This little. My last resort is always to look up new releases of the week, and today it came to that.
#902 – Most Normal by Gilla Band
This is the kind of album that I need to have recommended to me by someone in the know. I don’t think there’s any way I would’ve come across this one under any other circumstances. And now they will hopefully lead me down some kind of interesting rabbit hole.
