On the penultimate day of a shitty year, with very little to look forward to in the near future, it seemed to be the perfect day to check in on the current status of Gorillaz, a group that I listened to a decent amount in college. This album is probably not the best to judge their current style by, as it is less an album than a collection of singles including an array of collaborators. Each song features at least one guest appearance by a wide variety of artists from Elton John to ScHoolboy Q and many stops in between. I hope everyone has an enjoyable last day of 2020.
