I heard about this band from the compilation album Day of the Dead, which features over seventy covers of Grateful Dead songs by various modern artists. Phosphorescent’s contribution was an excellent version of “Standing on the Moon,” which is one of my favorites in the Dead catalog. Even if you are not a fan, it’s hard to argue with the quality of their songwriting as displayed by the variety of artists involved in the project. Anyway, that’s what led me to today’s selection, which I also thoroughly enjoyed.
