My selections have been going this way organically, so it seems right to lean into it. There have been many artists over the years that I have chosen not to listen to purely because friends have been so obsessed and insistent. It’s petty, I know, and the stupid thing is that I frequently end up being a fan whenever I finally give them a try. Have I grown out of this behavior? Anything’s possible, I suppose.
